Fenon has established itself as one of the best events company in Uganda over the years but it seems the past is still calling.
The proprietor Steve Jean started out in the music industry, recording two albums and opening up a studio that has given us some of the biggest all-time songs over the years and starting careers for some of Uganda’s biggest music brands. From Blu*3 to Benon Mugumbya among others.
Last Friday, Fenon Records yet again unveiled a new girl group called Warafiki that they have signed.
The group consists three multi-talented ladies Tori (Victoria Mbabazi), Eyla (Damalie Nalugwa) and Treezy (Patricia Debra Nakalembe).
To kick-start their longstanding working relation with Fenon, they released their first project called ‘Bwekati’, a catchy Afro Pop tune that is surely going to be on everyone’s lips.
The song that is both in Luganda and Swahili was produced by Steve Jean, Legend P and Joel Keys.
Warafiki in Swahili means ‘friends’ which reflects the trio’s background of friendship.
They have been friends for over seven years and they all started out in church which explains their talents in different a aspects.
