Officials from Vivo Energy Uganda have said the company will continue improving customers’ experience at the various Shell service stations around the country.
Speaking during the reopening of the refurbished Shell service station at Lugogo in Kampala, Alinafe Mkavea, Chief Commercial Officer of Vivo Energy Uganda said the new station represents what Vivo Energy is all about.
“It is not only about quality fuel but the entire experience of our clients and customers,” Mkavea said.
The newly refurbished, modern station marks a significant milestone in Vivo Energy Uganda’s commitment to providing high-quality, reliable services and products to its valued customers.
The refurbishment of Shell Lugogo service station kicked off in September 2024 and was completed in December.
It underwent a comprehensive upgrade and expansion of its facilities to accommodate the growing vehicular traffic and customers accessing associated fuelling, shopping with a range of products, and dining services. Among the key upgraded services include the introduction of new, state-of-the-art fuel pumps with the orientation of the fueling lanes modernised to ease traffic flow and provide more parking space at the station.
The service bay area which offers quick oil change services, has similarly undergone an expansion, while the main office and Select shop building have had an additional storey added to accommodate financial services and two restaurants – KFC and Java House – that gives customers a wider choice of dining as well as a more pleasant and efficient experience.
“Our commitment to quality remains paramount. We’ve revamped this station so you can fuel up and enjoy our top-tier products effortlessly. We prioritise quality, sustainability, and innovation with a mission to offer exceptional service, unparalleled customer experiences, and unrivalled products. We are determined to deliver such a level of excellence in products and services that when customers visit a Shell station, they’re guaranteed the highest quality fuels, lubricants, and other automotive products,”Mkavea added.
“At Vivo Energy Uganda, we continuously seek looking for ways to enhance our customer experience and make our services more accessible and reliable,” said Joanita Mukasa Menya, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda.
“The reopening of Shell Lugogo Service Station emphasises our dedication to supporting Uganda’s growing fuel and energy demands while offering an enhanced, more convenient service to our customers,” she added.
“We envision our Shell stations as the ultimate customer shopping destination offering one stop shopping for home essentials, dining and other convenience retail services, besides fuelling and motoring needs.”
Hans Paulsen, Executive Vice President, East, of Vivo Energy, said, “Our journey doesn’t stop here. We remain steadfast in our mission to make life’s journeys better for our customers, offering the highest quality products, cutting-edge services, and innovative solutions.
