There was late drama at Wankulukuku as 13 time champions, KCCA FC rallied back to beat Express FC 4-3 in the Uganda Premier League on Saturday.
The Kasasiro Boys took the lead when Ettiene Katenga slotted home in the first minute of the game.
However, the hosts responded ruthlessly, scoring thrice to ensure the first stanza ended in their favour thanks to Isaac Wagoina, John Asiimwe and Marvin Oshaba.
In the second half of the nail-biting encounter, the visitors woke up as Muhammad Shaban scored shortly after restart to reduce on the deficit.
In a stanza where the hosts seamed comfortable with the affairs, the Kasasiro Boys took advantage, with Ashraf Mugume scoring the lever at the 87th-minute mark.
With both teams at square, the Lugogo side realized the game was theirs to lose and consequently engaged another gear.
This extra effort saw KCCA grab the winner in the 90th minute, thanks to substitute Arafat Usama who sent fans into frenzy.
The win took KCCA to 23 points in 9th position, two below Express FC who are 8th after 17 games in the Uganda Premier League.
