Brand Africa has recognized Uganda’s top 100 brands during an awards ceremony at the Fontis Residences Hotel in Kampala.
The event, which brought together industry leaders from Uganda and across the continent, celebrated the most admired and valuable brands in Africa.
The ceremony featured keynote speeches from Thebe Ikalafeng, founder and chairman of Brand Africa, and Doreen Katusiime, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities.
Ikalafeng presented the awards to the winners, acknowledging the brands for their resilience, creativity, and ability to adapt in a dynamic global marketplace.
Speaking at the event, Katusiime highlighted the role of branding in economic growth and cultural pride.
“These awards resonate with our vision of fostering local talent and driving sustainable economic growth. Recognizing these brands today goes beyond celebrating success; it’s about inspiring future generations of African entrepreneurs to embrace excellence and continue building the continent’s prosperity,” she said.
Ikalafeng echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the significance of African entrepreneurship.
“This year’s honorees represent the spirit of African innovation and excellence, proving that our continent is not just a consumer of global brands but also a creator of iconic brands that are shaping the future,” he noted.
