Five people including a Buganda traditional court clerk and a mason among others have been arraigned before the Chief Magistrates court in Mengo and charged with murder of Ndiga clan head, Daniel Bbosa.
Bbosa was shot dead by men traveling on a motorcycle on the evening of Sunday, February, 25 as he returned home.
An angry mob would later give a chase to the killers and beat to death one Enock Sserunkuuma whereas one Noah Lujja sustained serious injuries.
On Monday, five people including Lujja, 21, a mason in Mpigi, Milly Naluwenda, 46, a traditional court clerk for Buganda, Harriet Nakiguli, a resident of Nkere zone in Kawempe, Joseph Nakabale, a painter in Mpigi and Ezra Mayanja from Kawempe were arraigned before chief magistrate of Nateete Rubaga chief magistrates court in Mengoand murder charges contrary to section 188 and 189 of the Penal Code Act read against them.
The court heard that the five and other still at large, with malice aforethought unlawfully caused the death of Engineer Daniel Bbosa in Lungujja on February, 25 at Kikandwa -Lungujja in Rubaga division of Kampala district.
They were however not allowed to either deny or accept the charges since the offence is capital in nature and can only be tried by the High Court.
They were consequently remanded to Luzira prison until, April, 11, 2024.
