Tensions are running high among candidates as UNEB is set to release the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education exam results later today.
The exams body will at 11am release the results during a function to be hosted at State Lodge in Nakasero.
The Minister for Education and Sports, Janet Museveni is expected to officiate the function.
A total of 379,748 candidates sat for UCE exams at from 4,168 examination centers around the country last year with 369,601 of these sitting for these exams on the new curriculum while 10,147 sat for the transitional examinations under the old curriculum.
More females at 5,559 representing 54.7% registered for the examinations under the old curriculum while the new curriculum pioneer female candidates stood at 187,870 (50.8%), as compared to the males who are 181,727 (49.2%).
