Senior Commissioner of Police, Sarah Kibwika has been appointed as the new deputy director for traffic in the latest changes in police, this website has learnt.
The changes announced on Wednesday by AIGP Jesse Kamunanwire, the police human resource director also saw Senior Commissioner of Police, Venice Baguma Tumuhimbise appointed as the new commander of the Professional Standards Unit where Kibwika has been.
Kibwika is not new in traffic police, having served until 2020 when then IGP, John Martins Okoth Ochola appointed her as the first female commander of the Professional Standards Unit where she has served until her return to traffic today where she will deputise Lawrence Nuwabiine.

The changes have also seen Senior Commissioner of Police Joseph Obwona who had retired last year recalled, given a contract and reappointed the new deputy director for Interpol.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Julius Ceasar Tusingwire who has been the Regional Police Commander for Bukedi South has now been appointed the new commandant for the police’s mineral protection unit.
In Bukedi, Tusingwire’s deputy, Senior Superintendent of Police , Fred Ahimbisibwe has now taken charge as the new Regional Police Commander.
Meanwhile, Robert Ssenyondo who has been the commander of the police mineral protection unit has been sent to the National Leadership Institute(NALI) in Kyankwanzi for a course .
