In a bid to provide top notch lightning speed internet, Roke Telkom has launched a Fibre to home(FTTH) and Fibre to Enterprise (FTTE) service campaign Dubbed “Live the Roke life” to elevate internet connectivity for homes, business and organisations.
‘Live the Roke life campaign’ is aimed at expanding Roke Telkom’s FTTH and FTTE coverage across targeted areas and it will bring the transformative power of fibre optic technology to even more households and businesses.
FTTH and FTTE, unlike traditional broadband technologies like microwave, harness the power of optical fiber cables to provide unmatched speed, reliability, and performance.
While speaking at the launch, Peter Muhumuza the Chief Technical Officer at Roke telkom said they are taking a step towards their desire to provide Ugandans with internet that is reliable, fast, up to date and accessible in all corners of the country.
“With FTTH and FTTE, our customers can expect lightning-fast internet speeds, minimal latency, and robust connectivity, enabling them to seamlessly engage in activities such as gaming, streaming, remote work, and online learning,” Muhumuza said.
He said they have added security to their product portfolio and this is very key because no one wants to be hacked.
“We’re using the fibre optic optic technology, which has a lot of potential to make these things happen.”
Hillary Modi, the sales manager ate Roke Telkom said their team will be visiting offices and also homes in the next couple of weeks offering microwaves services.
“We’re going to have teams visiting all these major buildings of course with permission from the property managers to ensure that should you be interested in live first connection from Roke Telkom that subsidise in terms of your monthly fees and expectations, this will be done within four to six hours at the most.”
He added that for a very long time, Roke Telkom has been doing Fibre to home connections same applies to offices, its just that right now they are aggressively going onto the doors to make sure that everybody has access to this connection.
