Mirundi, born in 1964 in Rakai District, Uganda, was a prominent figure in Ugandan politics and media. He served as President Yoweri Museveni’s press secretary for 13 years, from 2002 until 2015, when he was succeeded by Linda Nabusayi.
Mirundi was a distinguished academic, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and a Master’s Degree in Communication. He was a notable voice in Ugandan media, known for his outspoken views and in-depth analysis.
