This October marks six years since M-Net’s Pearl Magic launched, becoming a leading platform for Ugandan entertainment on both DStv and GOtv.
With 100% local content, the channel has been instrumental in promoting Uganda’s rich cultural and creative talent, offering viewers a variety of thrilling dramas, comedies, music shows, and reality TV.
Over the years, Pearl Magic has captivated audiences with popular shows such as Mizigo Express, Mistakes Girls Do, The Hostel, Sanyu, Prestige, Damalie, Junior’s Drama Club, Urban Life, Popi, and Beloved.
The channel has become a cornerstone of Uganda’s entertainment industry, continuously expanding its content offerings and contributing to the growth of the country’s creative landscape.
Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, expressed pride in the channel’s journey.

This year, Pearl Magic continues to thrill viewers with the return of hit shows like Kampala Crème, which recently concluded its first season. Long-running series such as Sanyu and Prestige have been viewer favorites, with Sanyu surpassing 880 episodes.
