Organisers, NBS TV have announced that the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert that was scheduled for this Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Kololo Airstrip has been postponed.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the organisers said the reason for the push is because of an event that will be happening at the venue the previous day.
“It is with sincere regret and disappointment that we announce the unexpected postponement of the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert scheduled for the 21st day of December 2023 at the Kololo Independence Grounds due to an unforeseeable event at the same venue that is beyond our control,” reads part of the statement.
NBS however noted that a new date for the concert will soon be communicated to the members of the public who were eagerly waiting for the band.
NTV announces Davido
In what seems like a slap in the face, shortly after the postponement of the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert, NTV has announced an upcoming concert featuring Nigerian award-winning artiste David Adedeji Adeleke alias Davido.
“IT’S OFFICIAL!! Nigerian musician Davido is set to perform live in Kampala on March 29, 2024. Countdown begins now with exactly 100 days until the much-anticipated Timeless event,” NTV announced on its X handle.
They said the concert will be held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval .
