The newly constructed terminal building at Entebbe Airport has been opened to the public.
The official opening was done by the Works Minister, Gen Edward Katumba Wamala on Wednesday.
The construction works of the new terminal building at Entebbe Airport were handled by the UPDF Engineering Brigade.
According to Col Godfrey Tukamwakira, the project coordinator for the construction works at Entebbe International Airport, the new terminal building has both departures and arrivals and will be used by dignitaries coming for the NAM and G77 plus China summits.
“The passenger terminals have unique features including canopy, air conditioning system, fire fighting system , elevators among other to much the international standards. We are going to continue working because we have three phases of construction. We have to continue beautifying, cleaning and complete work on the second and third floors, which we are already starting,” Col Tukamwakira said.
