President Museveni is set to proceed to Lango sub-region as part of his ongoing countrywide tour to assess the performance of the Parish Development Model program.
State House said on Monday that Museveni’s assessment tour in Lango will start on Tuesday, January, 28.
“The assessment tour will include visits to selected farmers, launching the Presidential Zonal industrial hub, meetings with local leaders, and the Lango subregion media fraternity. The tour will conclude with a public rally where the President will engage with the community and outline ongoing government initiatives, particularly focused on wealth creation,” State House said in the statement.
The President’s tours have already covered regions like Bukedi, Bugisu, Busoga, Teso, and Sebei, where he has inspected model farms, met with local leaders, and addressed issues such as climate-smart agriculture, market access, and cooperative development.
Museveni uses these visits to encourage communities to embrace wealth creation through government programs and to address challenges hindering the full rollout of the PDM.
