Just hours to the Mbarara Rally which opens this year’s National Rally Championship, Mike Mukula Jr says he is ready to put up a stellar performance this year.
On Thursday, KCB Uganda announced a sponsorship package to Mukula rally team.
Speaking following the announcement, Mukula Jr said with the sponsorship, there is no excuse this season, starting with the Mbarara rally.
“I have confidence that we have done enough preparations. We believe based on our performance, experience, and achievements, we stand a fighting chance at a decent finish and will give it our best shot. We shall be cautious but definitely not slow,” he said.
“The KCB sponsorship means a lot to me, the team and shows the character of the bank; their objectives and desire to support the community. They have shown that they are with me, through the ups and downs of to the Mukula Rally team, KCB bank is not just a sponsor but family.”
While speaking at the signoff, Diana Komukama Ssempebwa, the Head of Marketing
and Communications at KCB Uganda said, “We have always been committed to supporting sports and initiatives that uplift communities in Uganda and the East African region. Motorsport, with its thrilling and unifying nature, presents a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with our communities.”
Marking the commencement of this year’s National Rally Championship, the Mbarara Rally setting the stage for the highly anticipated Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally due to take place in May.
The Mbarara Rally opens today, February, 9 until 11 in Mbarara City.
