It will be a celebration of cultural diversity for the Luo at the maiden Luo music experience later this year in Kampala, Jinja and Entebbe.
The event will be held on August, 24 in Kampala, September, 6 in Entebbe and September, 7 in Jinja.
According to freelance journalist, Pat Larubi, the maiden Luo music experience will present great deals of cool, classic, elegant and exhilarating Luo music from singers Jenneth Prischa, Tam Noffy, Sam Sammy, Kemboy Mulili, Luo legacy dance troupe and Roo Ya Simba Busoga’s finest for the crowd in Jinja.
“Luo music experience is just offering a platform for physical reach and presence to these untapped populations while building a healthy and prosperous art industry up north,” Larubi said.
He said that being Luo is not a requirement to attend the event but rather for those who love culture, it is one for them.
“Much as Kampala, Entebbe, and Jinja have a huge population of Luo-speaking people, it’s easy to also feel homesick and lonely, but the Luo Music Experience show will ignite the power and spirit of the network so you can never feel the same again.”
Starting with Kampala on August, 24, 2024, the team with be at Amoo Car Wash located opposite Stabex Namuwongo then move on to Entebbe on September. 6, at the Red Roosters Sports Bar and a wrap-up show in Jinja on 07 September 2024 at Savers Club Bugembe respectively.
