Uganda’s half-marathon record holder, Jacob Kiplimo secured an impressive second finish on his full marathon debut in London on Sunday afternoon.
Falling behind Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe, the twice world cross country champion clocked a time of 2:03:37.
Kenya’s Alexander Mutiso Munyao came third with a time 2:04:20.
In the women’s category, Uganda’s Stella Chesang came sixth with a time of 2:22:42 in the race won by Ethiopia’s Tigst Assefa.
