Police on Monday said Ivan Lukungu, aka Pallaso who was on the run was tracked down and arrested from Nyendo in Masaka where he has been hiding following the robbery.
“It took operatives from the Directive of Crime Intelligence about three days of active surveillance to arrest him along Edward Street in Masaka City,” police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said on Monday.
Whereas 12 others including police officers were arrested over the robbery that saw assailants break into the home of Nekesa on December, 5 in Kyeyitabya zone, Bukasa Parish in Makindye division.
Shs41 million belonging to Nekesa and another shs2.2 billion belonging to her husband and businessman, Hajji Sulaiman Lumolo was stolen.

“He used the money to buy a Toyota Harrier for shs62 million, a restaurant business for shs20 million, a plot of land along Nabugabo road in Masaka City and an electric shop on goodwill at shs16 million,” Enanga said.
