The King has returned home from Namibia, where he spent time on vacation and consultations with medical specialists,” a statement from the kingdom read in part.
Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga posted, “Omutanda akomyewo mirembe mu nsi ye. Twebaza Katonda amukuumye ate n’okumuzza okwabobwe. Twebaza abasawo, ate n’abaweereza abaatambula ne Nnyinimu,” Mayiga later posted on X, formerly Twitter.
The return of Kabaka Mutebi followed his three -month stay in Namibia where he had gone to receive treatment.
The Kabaka was being treated at Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic Centre where he was referred to by his German doctors.
However, his stay was cut short when authorities in Namibia declined to renew his visa after sections of the public protested over his stay in the African country.
Namibia said the protests maligned the country’s image in the international community that they could not allow anymore.
