Staff and management of Uganda Breweries Limited has organized a farewell party for their Corporate Relations Director, Juliana Kagwa who will be leaving the company after 17 years of service.
On Sunday, Kagwa took to social media to extend appreciation to UBL for the 17 years.
“They say, every new beginning comes from another beginning’s end… My 17-year-old journey with Uganda Breweries Limited, a company that took a chance on me as a freshly graduated trainee, nurtured and trained me to Marketing Director, then Corporate Relations Director has come to an end. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, to serve and to grow at UBL and East African Breweries Ltd,” Kagwa said.
She said she has gained a lot of experience and expertise at the Luzira based brewer but said it is now time to move to greater heights.
“ I am thrilled to now be moving into the Pan African space and will be sharing more details soon.”
She however didn’t disclose her new destination.
However, this website understands that the seasoned marketing and commercial executive will now move to South Africa.
In South Africa, Kagwa will join Seed Co , a company that develops, breeds and supplies certified seed species with a focus on hybrid maize, wheat, soya bean, beans rice, potatoes, sorghum, cotton, and vegetables .
Originating from Zimbabwe, the company recently moved its headquarters to South Africa but also has with direct operations in Angola, Botswana, DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique and Nigeria among other countries.
Juliana Kagwa, who started her career at Diageo as a Graduate management trainee has worked in various marketing roles in Uganda and Kenya, including a brief stint as Country Manager for Heineken.
She was in 2020 moved from the position of Marketing and Innovations Director at UBL to become the new Corporate Relations Director, a position she has held until today.
