House of Prayer Ministries’ senior pastor, Aloysius Bugingo has scoffed at members of the public, especially those on social media who have turned against him over the assassination attempt on him that left his bodyguard, Cpl Richard Muhumuza dead.
Speaking during a service to thank God for his fallen bodyguard, Bugingo said at the right time, he will show the world the wounds he sustained during the Tuesday night attack by unknown assailants.
A number of commentators, especially on social media have questioned claims that Bugingo was bruised by bullets at his back during the assassination attempt.
Speaking on Sunday, he said whereas currently he cannot do it now, with time he will soon prove to the doubting Thomases that he has bullet wounds at the back.
He explained that everyday, before treatment is administered on the wounds, they film the back to capture the wounds but noted the videos will be released to the public at the right time.
Bugingo praised his bodyguard for being selfless.
“He has been selfless to the last minute. A man of his word, genuine, a father .I am alive because of God, Richard who sacrificed his life and the good deeds he was seeing in me,” Bugingo said.
He promised to look after the family of his late bodyguard, Cpl Richard Muhumuza.
He also suspended the forthcoming 13th anniversary for his church meant for January 28, adding that the ongoing fundraising drive for cash to construct his church has also been suspended indefinitely.
Bugingo also told believers that he will be able to lead lunchtime prayers for an unspecified period of time until he gets better.
