Indeed, it is a painful moment when we do not strike at our targets. I feel like shading tears when I recall our past through the lens of the present to predict the future. I imagine the toughness and roughness as if I had not gone through such experiences.
But because I can refocus and gain momentum to move ahead, I lose my patience and cannot delay
penning it down. It is true, we have had many challenges on our path to hit our targets and we end up blaming ourselves without finding out the real problems – very common in project work. Sometimes we are even very conscious and we wonder about all the compliance with the mess.
That reveals how much depth the beginning of the confusion is. Many of us seem to possess
knowledge and skills; unfortunately, being entangled in our confusion simply as a result of failure to understand how well we can see beyond self.
We can be fair if we have no reservations to better others. I became a teacher so that I can be part of those to extend the frontiers of wisdom. This explains why I do not need to choose silence to glorify ignorance.
Quite notable mistakes we make occasions confusion sending us in total disarray. We failed to generate results initially due to a lack of proper team selection for complement in driving change.
This was further boosted by a lack of work plan and orientation on the expectations,
roles, responsibilities, aims, goals, objectives, mission and vision. We ended up being blown up in the air like a dark plume of smoke with regrets at the end.
It is a common saying when you hear many people talking of “If we knew…we would have done this and that…” when it is now too late for corrections – a blame game song. Time would have gotten lost with “little or no tangible records of accountability”.
By the way, even if a limited number of focused persons do exist amidst a team of that kind,
they may not manage to overcome such influential negative agents. In most cases, the implementors or change agents have a rich background of skills.
The only problem is that we have not also discovered the potential for a blend of knowledge. All can happen if we value a positive attitude and acceptance to unlearn, learn and relearn.
Simplicity makes the world a better place for all to live in.
Greatness has made many people break. We can explore the importance of social interactions as avenues for corrections to avoid failures.
In the end, it is prudent to embrace one another in ideas and actions for ownership to avoid blame.
As I conclude, for us to reach our intended destination of dreams, we also need to be selective enough and prepared to run the cause of action with due regard to facilitation.
Otherwise, we shall always degenerate into a recurring cycle of confusion that does not yield a proper sense of direction.
