Security operatives have arrested former Deputy Resident City Commissioner for Rubaga Division, this website has learnt.
Burora was picked on Monday night from his home and taken to an unknown destination.
Earlier, the former RCC had indicated that his home had been surrounded by security personnel in plain clothes.
“My home has been besieged by unknown men who claim I should go with them,” Burora posted at around 10pm.
According to Godwin Toko, a colleague to Burora, he had a brief phone call with the former RCC who told him police had besieged his home and were determined to have him arrested.
“They have neither shown him an arrest warrant nor told him whose instructions they are acting upon,” Toko said.
His lawyer, John Teira, said he had been arrested on cases-related to cyber harassment of the person of the Speaker of Parliament.
Burora gained popularity after he started criticizing the same government he served as RCC.
Condemning corruption, Burora turned the guns to parliament and Speaker Among whom he blamed for being extravagant and not caring about the citizens.
He consequently opted to resign from his position as deputy RCC after he had allegedly been asked to apologise to the speaker.
Since leaving government, Burora had become an anti-corruption activist.
