Renowned media personality Flavia Tumusiime has made a grand return to Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda, five years after her departure.
However, this time, she is not just rejoining as an employee but as the Head of Broadcasting, a leadership role that places her at the helm of all NMG’s broadcasting brands in Uganda, including NTV, Spark TV, Ddembe FM, and KFM.
Flavia’s journey with NMG began in 2015 when she joined NTV Uganda as a news anchor, a position she held for nearly seven years before her exit in April 2021.
Despite her departure from television, she remained an influential voice in the media industry, continuing her long-standing career as a radio presenter at Capital FM.
However, in 2022, she also bid farewell to radio, leaving many wondering about her next move.
With this latest appointment, Flavia’s return to NMG signifies a full-circle moment in her career, marking a transition from being an on-screen presence to a key decision-maker.
Her vast experience in media, coupled with her deep understanding of the industry, positions her as a strategic leader poised to drive the growth and innovation of NMG’s broadcasting platforms.
Flavia’s media career began at a young age when she co-hosted WBS TV’s Teen’s Club for four years. Between 2010 and 2012, she presented K-Files, another program on WBS TV.
Her career further expanded onto the regional stage when she became the face of the Guinness Football Challenge, which aired on NTV Uganda, ITV, and KTN Kenya.
Now, as she steps into a powerful leadership role, Flavia is expected to steer NMG’s broadcasting wing toward greater success.
