Double Q , the distributor of Sinotruk vehicles has launched three next generation vehicles onto the Ugandan market.
The three newest Sinotruk models include the Howo Max Tractor truck 6×4, Howo NX 10×4 cargo truck with Germany technology and the Howo M7 light truck, all of which boast cutting-edge technology, impressive power, and unparalleled comfort.
Speaking during the launch on Saturday, Works and Transport Minister, Gen Edward Katumba Wamala hailed Double Q for supporting the transport sector in the country.
He took note of the commencement of local assembly of trucks in Uganda by Double Q that he said is a significant milestone in efforts to promote local content and support growth of the country’s manufacturing sector.
“The local assembly of trucks will not only create jobs and stimulate economic growth but also an opportunity for Ugandans to acquire high quality vehicles that are tailored to our local conditions,” Gen Wamala said.
He hailed the company for introduced the next generation vehicles to the Ugandan market.
“I am particularly pleased to learn that these vehicles have been specifically tailored for Uganda’s terrain, featuring reduced emissions and advanced safety measures which align with our national sustainability goals.”
The minister however urged Double Q to develop a culture of training drivers in safe driving and introducing them to new vehicle technologies.
The head of marketing at Double Q, Richard Musani said the Howo Max Tractor truck is a new generation all rounder offering maximum reliability, efficiency, Safety and comfort designed for heavy-duty applications, boasting a golden power train with a powerful MC engine equipped with 430 Horse Power, advanced transmission system, and enhanced safety features.
He said this truck is perfect for long-haul transportation, construction, and mining industries.
On the other side, he said the Howo NX cargo truck with Germany technology is a first choice for cross boarder goods transportation and built for versatility and reliability, offering a range of engine options, improved fuel efficiency, and increased payload capacity.
Musani added that the Howo M7 light cargo truck is engineered for comfort and performance, featuring a modern design, advanced safety features, and improved fuel efficiency and that it is ideal for urban transportation, logistics, and small-scale businesses.
