Certified Mediators and Advisory Board (CMA) has announced it is launching its social governance initiatives in Uganda, focusing on Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADRs) across various sectors, particularly in schools.
By introducing conflict resolution curriculums, CMA aims to empower the next generation of citizens and leaders with essential skills to manage disputes peacefully.
According to CMA, there’s a significant gap between society and governance, leading to miscommunication, rage, and violence and it seeks to address this by building bridges between divided communities and renegotiating social contracts , enhancing the ability of individuals, institutions, and societies to perform functions, solve problems, and achieve objectives sustainably encouraging patriotic and human resource development to support effective governance
CMA says by introducing ADRs and promoting social governance, it hopes to create a more harmonious and peaceful Africa, where democracy serves the people, not the interests of a few. It’s time for Africa to reclaim its values and lead by example.
Princess Evelyn Bright of Tooro made a powerful presentation at the Serena Hotel in Kenya, leading her organization, Certified Mediators and Advisory Board (CMA), in a call for peace and justice across Africa.
As a new organization headquartered in Nairobi, CMA is expanding its reach to establish robust social governance structures that promote harmony and stability in East Africa and beyond ¹.
During the event, Princess Evelyn recognized remarkable peace activists, ambassadors, and leaders in Kenya, including Hon. Abdkarim Osman, a former member of parliament known for his stance against hate speech during his campaigns.
She emphasized the importance of true leadership, urging Kenyan politicians to adopt a selfless and respectful approach towards their opponents .
Her message highlighted that leadership is a noble calling, not a gamble, and that leaders set the tone for their communities.
By promoting peace, justice, and reconciliation, CMA aims to elevate Africa above conflicts and litigation.
CMA seeks to build robust frameworks to promote peace and stability, recognize and support peace activists, ambassadors, and leaders as well as fostering a culture of selflessness, respect, and accountability among leaders
By achieving these objectives, CMA hopes to create a better future for Africa, where diversity is celebrated, and conflicts are resolved through dialogue and mediation.
