NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine has suspended Mathias Mpuuga as the party deputy president for Buganda.
In a March, 27 notice, Kyagulanyi said the suspension stems from the shs500 million ‘service award’ that Mpuuga pocketed.
“You have thus failed to provide any satisfactory explanation for engaging in this action which goes against the vision , mission and objectives of the party,” Kyagulanyi said.
“It also goes against article 5.3(b) and f of the party constitution which obligates party members to conduct themselves in a manner that does not bring disrepute to the name of the party as well as practice accountable leadership.”
The development comes a few days after Mpuuga said no one can force him away from the party.
