Tension and anticipation are high across Uganda as students, parents, and teachers eagerly await the official release of the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination results.
The results, which mark a critical academic milestone for students transitioning to university and other tertiary institutions, are expected to be released by the Minister for Education and Sports, First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni, at State lodge Nakasero.
A total of 142,009 candidates sat for the national A-Level exams in 2024 from 2,634 examination centers across the country. Among them, 80,041 were male, while 61,968 were female.
With university admissions and scholarship opportunities hinging on these results, many students are anxiously waiting to see if their hard work has paid off.
For many parents, the UACE results will determine whether their children secure government scholarships or are admitted into their preferred university courses.
Teachers, too, are eager to see how their students performed, as this will reflect their efforts in preparing them for the exams.
Schools across the country are waiting to assess their performance, with many hoping for an improvement from previous years.
For students, the UACE results determine their fate in higher education. Those who perform well will have the opportunity to enroll in prestigious courses while those who fall short may have to reconsider their career paths.
Once the results are officially released, students will begin the process of applying for university admissions.
