The Shincheonji Church of Jesus recently hosted a large-scale “Testimony of the Reality of Fulfilled Revelation” seminar in Masan, drawing significant interest from pastors across the Gyeongnam region.
This event marks the first major religious gathering in Masan since 1995, attracting 100 pastors and over 16,000 attendees. Additionally, approximately 380,000 viewers joined the seminar via a live online stream.
Chairman of the Shincheonji Church, Mr. Man Hee Lee, emphasized the critical importance of the Book of Revelation, asserting that it has been fulfilled according to biblical prophecy. He urged participants to believe in the words recorded in the Bible, stating, “The words of the Bible are being realized according to order, and if they are true, believers must have faith in them.” He encouraged humility among participants, saying, “We must humble ourselves like children and base our faith on the standards of the Bible.”
A representative from the Shincheonji Church expressed optimism about the growing interest in future events, stating, “It is very encouraging that many pastors have proactively inquired about holding additional Open Word Seminars. To meet this demand, we will host an event in Busan as well. Since we are all coming together on the foundation of the Bible, regardless of denomination, we believe that our bonds and cooperation through the sharing of teachings will grow stronger and spread further in the future.”
A pastor with over 20 years of experience expressed his views on the importance of engaging with the teachings of the Shincheonji Church, remarking, “Other pastors should not disregard Shincheonji because they belong to a different denomination but listen and then make the judgment.” He emphasized the need to consider the teachings before making any conclusions.
The Shincheonji Church of Jesus, also known as the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, has previously held Open Word Seminars in Ulsan and Busan in January. At these seminars, Chairman Lee delivered lectures that encompassed the entire Bible, particularly focusing on Revelation Chapter 10. His teachings drew a strong connection between biblical prophecy and its fulfillment, sparking enthusiastic responses from the attendees, including many pastors who took notes and applauded the presentation.
During the recent event, Chairman Lee emphasized the authenticity of his message, saying, “I am sharing the content of Revelation as I have seen and heard it. The word of the Bible should be conveyed as if it is stamped, without distortion or alteration.” He urged participants not to hastily criticize or condemn but to adopt a humble attitude, in line with Jesus’ teachings, and to verify the truth of the message for themselves.
“The Bible records that the way to heaven is small and narrow. Simply saying you believe in Jesus does not guarantee entry to heaven. We must carefully listen to and reflect on each of Jesus’ words, understand clearly who we are according to the Bible, and walk our faith accordingly,” Chairman Lee added.
Chairman Lee has repeatedly emphasized the importance of verifying the teachings of Revelation, particularly when addressing pastors. During the “Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation Seminar” held on June 8 at the Cheongpyeong Shincheonji Peace Education Center, he noted, “The words of life that Jesus sacrificed His life for should be treasured, and we must check whether they are being fulfilled accordingly.”
Pastors in the Gyeongnam region who have attended the teachings are reportedly experiencing a shift in perspective. One pastor who signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Shincheonji Church explained, “Hearing the words directly and making my own judgments has changed my thinking significantly. I believe that maintaining communication with the Shincheonji Church will benefit my congregation, which is why I decided to create an MOU.”
Another pastor, with 15 years of ministry experience, expressed his admiration for Chairman Lee’s ability to deliver an hour-long lecture without even opening the Bible. “I listened carefully and was astonished to find that there was nothing contradictory to scripture in his message,” he said. “After hearing these teachings, I became curious about what the Shincheonji Church is really about and felt a desire to share this with more people.”
