Buganda Road magistrates court has released on bail, TikToker, Ibrahim Musana alias Pressure Pressure who is accused of abusing the Kabaka and President Museveni.
The TikToker was on Monday released on a cash bail of shs2 million after presenting two sureties who included his parents from Budaka .
Each of the two sureties was bonded for a sum of ssh2o million non cash.
The Buganda Road Chief Magistrate, Ronald Kayizzi reasoned that Musana had clocked the constitutional 60 days for remand without trial, warranting his release on bail.
Court however set stringent bail conditions including never mentioning Kabaka, President Museveni, Minister Joyce Ssebuggwao and Speaker Anita Among.
“Should you mention them, your bail will be cancelled,” the chief magistrate warned him.
The case was adjourned t0 May,28, 2024, for mention.
Musana is facing eight counts of malicious information, hate speech, which are likely to promote hostility against His Magersty the Kabaka of Buganda Road Muwenda Mutebi II , president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Speaker Annet Anita Among and minister Joy Nabbosa Ssebugwaawo.
Prosecution states that between August 2023 and February 2024 in areas of Kampala district, while using a computer via his TikTok account, Pressure 24 Seven shared information which is likely to degrade or demean and promote hostility against four leaders including Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, President Yoweri Museveni, speaker of parliament Annet Anita Among and state minister for Information Communication Technology (ICT) Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.
