Police have identified Lujja Bbosa Tabula as the man behind the murder of Ndiga clan head, Eng. Dan Bbosa who was shot dead by assailants on a motorcycle last Sunday.
Addressing journalists on Monday, Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said following interrogation of some of the suspects, it was revealed that Tabula hired the killers.
“He is wanted for his alleged role in the murder of Eng.Bbosa. He is the mastermind behind the murder plot and is wanted by CID for his alleged role in the murder by shooting of Eng. Dan Bbosa,” Enanga said.
The police spokesperson said the 38-year-old suspect is a resident of Kabango village, Kakoola parish, Mutuba Gumu sub county in Mpigi district whom he said is currently on the run and suspected to be hiding in one of the islands on Lake Victoria.
“He was motivated more so by intrigue, greed and jealous.”
He announced a shs10 million reward to anyone who could provide information leading to Tabula’s arrest.
Seven arrested
Enanga also revealed that so far, seven suspects including Noah Lujja who is hospitalized after being beaten by a mob and Milly Naluwenda, a Buganda traditional court clerk have since been arrested and provided useful information in the case.
He added that the hunt for other suspects who are still on the run is still on.
“We are not coming up with particulars of the other five suspects but the file has been submitted to the DPP pending legal guidance on who is having incriminating evidence for having participated in the murder plot that targeted and eliminated the victim,” Enanga said, adding that police has a full account of preparation meetings, planning, acquisition of the killer weapon , hiring of killers and execution of the murder which will be availed in due course.
“ Any body found habouring Lujja will be charged for concealing the arrest of a criminal .”
Eng. Bbosa was on Sunday laid to rest in Mbaale, Mpigi district.
