The Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court has ordered police to arrest Molly Katanga, the wife to slain businessman, Henry Katanga, to answer charges of his murder.
In a warrant issued on Monday, Chief Magistrate, Erias Kakooza ordered any police officer who sees her to immediately arrest to answer charges related to the murder of her husband.
Daughters committed to High Court
The development comes at a time when the Director of Public Prosecutions has completed investigations into the gruesome murder .
On Monday, Chief Magistrate Elias Kakooza, committed four people including Katanga’s daughters.
The quartet including Martha Nkwanzi and Patricia Kakwanza, the family shamba boy, George Amanyire, and a medical practitioner, Charles Otai were committed to the High Court for trial after conclusion of investigations.
The prosecution alleges that on November 2, 2023, at the family’s residence on Chwa 2 Road in Nakawa division, Kampala, Nkwanzi and Kakwanza, with knowledge that certain items could be required as evidence in a judicial proceeding, intentionally removed, destroyed, or concealed them to prevent their use in the case.
Amanyire and Otai are accused of helping the other accused people evade justice by hiding any form of evidence related to the matter.
