Police in Busia have kicked off investigations into circumstances under which a 55-year-old taxi driver and father of twins allegedly died in a lodge.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said the deceased, Ssalongo Muhamad Mukungu, a resident of Buduhira Village, Dabani Sub- County, Busia District died after having sex with two women in one night at Mwesigwa guest house in Kisenyi A village in Busia Municipality.
“The victim(Mukungu) on January, 22,2024 at around 8pm entered the lodge with a woman friend up to 11pm and then escorted her back. On his way back, he picked another woman friend, to spend the remaining night with,” Enanga said.
He noted that unfortunately collapsed during the extended act of sexual pleasure and intimacy.
“The woman friend alerted the management guest house, who alerted police and the body taken to Busia HCIV for postmortem.”
According to police, the postmortem report indicated that the taxi driver who is also a father of twins died as a result of excessive organism which caused blood vessels in the brain to rupture.
“Death can occur during consensual intercourse for a number of reasons, generally because of the physical strain of the activity or because of unusual extenuating circumstances, or prescription drugs to treat erectile dysfunctions,” Enanga said.
The risk of any cardiac death is higher as people age. It is called mycocardial infarction. Young adults have suffered cardiac death due to sudden arrhythmic death syndrome or cardiomyopathies.”
Enanga urged all persons diagnosed with these conditions to seek advice from a cardiologist on the risk associated with sexual activity, although the fatal risks is very low.
