The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has announced that the much-anticipated Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results for 2024 will be officially released on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
The ceremony will take place at State House, Nakasero, and will be presided over by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataaha Museveni.
In a statement, on Tuesday, UNEB said that the release event will be live-streamed on their official platforms to ensure wide accessibility for all stakeholders, including parents, students, and school administrators.
A total of 798,771 candidates including 379,414 ( 47.4%) males and 419,357 females sat for the exams.
Of all the candidates, 524,690 representing 66.7% were Universal Primary Education(UPE) candidates while 3,295 were special needs candidates .
